Another SNOW DAY!!! Which means I get to use some more of my new stamps. Today I was looking around to see what would inspire me to use Stampin' Up's new High Tide set. I didn't think I liked this set when I first saw it in the catalog, but when I saw what you could do with it, well, enough said! I'm sure you all have had stamp sets that have impressed you this way before.
I was going to show you how to do a scenic card with the lighthouse and all, but got distracted by Michelle Zindorf (who does really artistic scenes with a lot of sponging. Her card is here:  and I've always liked her cards. But again, I must say I am not an artist like she is, and this is my version.
Enjoy!

Hey Chick! Revisited

This SAB set is just SO cute I had to make another card, but when I saw the Neat & Tangled, "Happier Than," set with the "fox in a henhouse" stamp I knew it went along with this set. So, sorry for combining all these stamp sets but it was an idea that flourished into this card!
Anyway, the video is a little longer, but I trimmed some out so you won't see much stamping but I do tell you everything I use. The sizes and colors of the cardstock used are as follows:

  • A2 white card base (8.5" x 5.5")
  • Real Red (4.25" x 5.5")
  • Solar White Neenah (4"x 5.25")
  • Smokey Slate (4.25" x 5.5" before stamping) After stamping the Hardwood in Smokey Slate ink on it, trim off a lengthwise strip that is 1" x 4.75" and trim the rest to 5" x 3.25"
  • Strip of So Saffron that is 1" x 4.5"

I stamped the chicks on Solar White Neenah cardstock in Versafine Black Onyx ink and colored them in with markers.
Enjoy!
