Purr-fect Friend

This card is entered into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge for Anything Goes and uses My Favorite Things stamp set "Purr-fect Friend."
I colored the cat with Tombow markers and cut out the circle with a stitched circle die set from Pink and Main.
The background was Distress Oxide inks blended and then spritzed with water to create the oxidized look. I used Worn Lipstick, Broken China, and Fossilized Amber. I cut one of the circles out of the background and the largest one out of Not Quite Navy cardstock and after affixing all of them off-center on the card, trimmed the edge. The sentiment is from the same set, stamped in Versa-Fine Onyx Black ink. Thanks for looking!

Anything Goes with MFT

This card uses a stamp set from My Favorite Things called Farm Friends and the matching dies. As a knitter, I like making sheep cards for all my "knitty friends." This also uses a stitched window die from My Favorite Things called "Peek a Boo Window," and the sheep is floating on a piece of tulle. The sheep is colored with Copic markers and the sentiment is embossed in white. I am entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday "Anything Goes" challenge.

Just Because

This card is for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Flower Power. I used the Concord and 9th Monogram J with matching dies and the Concord and 9th Happy Day for the background. I stamped the images with Dapper Denim, Lemon Lime Twist, and Flirty Flamingo ink. I'm still working on getting a CLEAN image with solid stamps like this "J," as you know with dogs in the house hair just flies around! My one tip for this is to use the masking tape type of lint rollers to clean the stamp before stamping. Now, what to do with the stamp pad that has hair on it?!!

Add a Doodle

This card is entered into the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, "Let's Doodle."
For this card I used Simon Says Stamp's, "Even More Spring Flowers," masking the two larger blooms and one leaf. I stamped in Momento Black ink so that I could color the blooms with Copic markers. Then I added the "doodling" vines with a black marker. The sentiment is from AlteNew's "Floral Sprig," and I embossed that in gold. Finally I painted the flowers and leaves with a Wink of Stella clear pen. Hope you like it! Thanks for looking!

Masquerade Ball

As some of you know, I'm a high school math teacher and I also am a class advisor for the 11th grade class at our school. This is the year that they are responsible for putting on the "prom," and for some reason I got elected to design and make the invitations.
The theme of the event is Masquerade Ball and when I saw that Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge was to make something using "Sparkle and Shine," I thought of the invitations that I made last night.
The colors were black and gold and the stamps I used were from Hunkydory (Masquerade Ball) and Hampton Arts (front greeting). I gold embossed the images from Masquerade Ball on the front of the card and added a die cut of gold glitter paper and then another die cut in black cardstock with the greeting. We sent them out in Neenah gold envelopes. Thanks for looking!

Wanna Play?

Every night when I get home from work I am met with this question! My springer, Nelson, cannot wait for the yard to dry up from winter's snow and the spring rain. So when Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge called for Tim Holtz products and texture, I thought of the Crazy Dogs.
I used the matching dies for the Crazy Dogs and colored this little guy with Distress Oxide inks in Hickory Smoke, Black Soot, and Worn Lipstick after masking off his eyes. I also used Distress markers to color the collar in and Copics for the ball. I also added some Glossy Accents to the nose. Hope you like it.

Follow The Yellow Brick Road!

This is not my favorite color combination, but what do you do with ruby slippers and a yellow brick road?! This is for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge that was to be inspired by a story. The stamp is from The Stamping Ground and the verse is from Altenew's Floral Sprig set. The red paper is glitter, but not sure it shows up and I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils. Thanks for looking!

Happy Birthday, Simon!

The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge celebrates their 9th birthday! I was so impressed by the watercolor card by Yoosun Hur (Rejoicing Crafts) on the inspiration page that I had to try getting the soft colors by yet again trying to do some "no-line-watercoloring" on this card. I first stamped the flowers with Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink on watercolor paper and started watercoloring with Sakura's Koi Water Colors. This is relaxing but time consuming. The inspiration card was a shaker card, so I also decided to put some fun sparkles inside. Links to the products used are below. Hope you enjoy it!
Stamps used are from Simon Says Stamp Bouquet of Thanks and Let Us Rejoice for the greeting.
The confetti inside the shaker are the Carousel Lights from Honey Bee Stamps and the small clear stars are from Pretty Pink Posh. I used the fishtail stitched dies from Lawn Fawn and also the Bouquet of Thanks matching die to cut out the flowers.
